Forbes: Comal Group, the future of photovoltaic systems

Installer of photovoltaic systems, Comal Group is based on a solid and lasting sustainable approach focused on innovation.

An important metamorphosis

Located in Montalto di Castro, 100 km north of Rome, the Comal Group has been operating since 1986. Over the years the development of the company has undergone several turning points related to the historical moment. In the year of its creation, the Chernobyl tragedy interrupted its ambition to integrate the Montalto di Castro nuclear power plant. Three years later, the company reinvents itself and reorients its services in the construction of equipment dedicated to thermal and hydraulic power plants and nuclear companies that were discontinued until 2007. Faced with the crisis in the metalworking sector in Italy, Comal Group has decided to review own environmental strategy. In 2009 he took care of the assembly of the support structures of the photovoltaic panels. Until 2014, the company offers its offer to the market in South Africa by building new photovoltaic systems. A range of products that Comal Group has been developing for two years also in Italy.

Allowing the customer to follow the entire supply chain

Since the advent of photovoltaic systems, Comal Group has had great success in recent years. Il Sole 24 ore places the company on the list of “growth leaders” for two consecutive years. The company has doubled its turnover and its business now covers the entire supply chain. From design to construction, to the collection and maintenance of production data, the company transfers its data to the customer and allows him to manage the system. To date, Comal Group is a sort of laboratory: “We are continuing with research, which is fundamental for growth. We currently have about fifteen engineers, professionals in the sector, so we have made an important metamorphosis: today we are able to follow the entire supply chain and this has led us to grow. »Guido Paolini. If the customer so wishes, the company can also manage factories with about 20 monitors that accurately monitor and control production and progress.

Sustainability, safety and quality of work

Comal Group wants to offer new recruits. And for this the company starts from the awareness that the engineering sector can no longer do without sustainability. It was once an abstract concept, but today sustainability, safety and quality of work are key. In addition to basic safety, quality of work and sustainability represent the future. Not only are the company’s plants located on agricultural land, its offices and facilities are powered by a photovoltaic system that is used to manage its internal activities. Comal Group will take a new step in the mobility sector by creating electric machines to develop sustainable energy with its own photovoltaic systems and no longer with generators. The company has already presented its products in Munich and returns to Germany in June. Comal Group is also about to acquire a large order in Oman, again in the photovoltaic sector. This evolving company sets new important goals, step by step, and wants to continue expanding abroad. The ambition is to continue hiring new professionals, focusing on young people, because it is about investing in innovation and in the future.

With projects in Germany, Spain, Africa and Lebanon, Comal Group continues its expansion in Europe and abroad.
